Abstract
The experiments and the observations are very important in the subject of science at elementary school. However, it is difficult for children to observe everything in an experiment. It is effective to show them the digital teaching materials in such a case. Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) played a vital role in development and spread of digital teaching materials available for the class of science. The number of contents of digital teaching materials which JST has developed amounts to 40000 in total. In this report, we explain about "Science network" which JST has developed. We discuss some practical examples of using the digital teaching materials at an elementary school, and conclude that it is effective to use them in science education.
