Abstract
Reviews the events and the literature of 1986-90 concerned with the pricing of research and professional materials for libraries. Serials are discussed, including pricing studies and price indexes, publisher's views, and the need for a new paradigm of scholarly publishing; monographs are considered; and electronic publishing is addressed, including CD-ROMs. (123 references) (LRW)
