Abstract
The Level of Adoption (LoA) survey was developed to assess changes in understanding of and competence with emerging and innovative educational technologies. Recent work reported on the development of and preliminary results from the use of this instrument to assess the level of adoption of emergent technologies to support instruction at the post-secondary level. Three surveys of environmental educators from across Canada and internationally identify technologies which support environmental education programs. Results describe the adoption of technologies to support environmental educational programs, regionally (national and international), and between different teaching contexts. Feedback from participants regarding perceptions of the efficacy and content of this instrument provide a basis from which to continually re-examine and re-create the LoA to inform a variety of professional communities regarding their adoption of emergent technologies to support 21st century learners.
