Abstract

Abstract: With the continued ubiquitous technological surge it is necessary for schools and educators to continuously be involved in a teaching-learning process that prepares students for working in the community. Therefore, linking teacher professional development with the integration of technology needs to be an integral part of ongoing teacher development. The purpose of this study was to gather data that would help to determine teacher preference regarding models of professional development that would assist in the integration of technology in the classroom. This paper discusses the findings and conclusions of a survey conducted with teachers in a middle school and secondary school in Bermuda regarding their beliefs, values, integration training models, personal use, skills, development, and personal and system challenges. The information gleaned offers insight into the process of designing and delivering professional development.
