Abstract
The use of technology in teaching has the potential to exacerbate cultural, socioeconomic, ethnic, and linguistic differences in achievement. Preventing technology from doing so requires high levels of TPCK, as well as cultural sensitivity in the application of this knowledge. This paper discusses issues teachers should be prepared to address when applying TPCK in teaching-learning contexts characterized by students from different backgrounds.
