Abstract
With the increase in mobile telephone possession amongst school children and the emergence of problems concerning mobile telephone use, guidance on information ethics has been stipulated in the new Course of Study. In order to implement guidance in rules and manners for mobile telephone possession and use as part of guidance on information ethics in schools, it is necessary to clarify and understand the current situation regarding mobile telephone possession and usage amongst school children. Accordingly, a nationwide questionnaire survey of school children, parents/guardians, and teachers was conducted regarding the possession and usage of mobile telephones by school children. This report provides an overview of the survey results.
