Abstract

Many different transferrable skills support student success in college (Sparkman, Larry, Maulding, Wanda, & Jaylynn, 2012). Therefore, it is important to be able to find ways to teach students these skills when they are not necessarily interwoven within the curriculum. The researchers propose and test a model to teach these skills to students without using class time. The initial system was developed to improve academic honesty and was successful in significantly decreasing plagiarism by over 50%. The model also decreased administrative time used to resolve these cases.
